Go, Caution, Stop!

Restaurants fall into three categories, which help classify how well or poorly they are avoiding single use plastics.


Go! These restaurants are consuming less single use plastic.


Caution! These restaurants are consuming more single use plastic.


Stop! These restaurants are consuming the most single use plastic.

How Restaurant Rating Works

Customers used the rating form to check all the single use plastic items that applied to their dining experiences. The more checked items, the greater number of single use plastic consumed during their visit. The rating is a ratio of single use plastic items present out of the total ten typical items you generally observe at restaurants. The higher the fraction means greater single use plastic consumption. A smaller fraction indicates the restaurant is a 'clean' restaurant or producing less plastic pollution.
